Long Tower Annual Solemn Novena - starts Sun 21st October - 6pm

Annual Solemn Novena in honour of Our Lady of Perpetual Help. Nine Sundays before Christmas in Long Tower Church at 6.00pm. The theme of this year's novena, in this 'Mary, Queen of Peace'. Each night will comprise of the Rosary, Novena prayer and petitions, talk given by various guest speakers and ceremony of healing with Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament.

Our first speaker is Deacon Martin Donnelly, a Permanent Deacon in the Diocese of Clogher and was ordained by Bishop Alan McGuckian SJ on 17th June 2018. Martin is a native of Drumcree Parish in Portadown in the Archdiocese of Armagh and has lived in Enniskillen for the last 25 years. Martin is married 38 years to Caitlin and they have two children and a new grandson. Martin spent 36 years of his working life in education as a teacher, a principal and a Senior Education Adviser before discerning a vocation to Diaconate.

This evening he will share some experiences of how Mary Queen of Peace has influenced his life and in particular his calling to serve as a Deacon. We welcome him to the Long Tower as we begin our Novena in honour of Our Lady of Perpetual Help on Sunday, 21st October at 6.00pm.

We encourage everybody, including those in particular need of healing in their lives, to come along. The Novena can also be a way of spiritually preparing to celebrate the feast of Christmas and a source of blessing on our parish, our families and all those whom we love.
