At his episcopal ordination in St Patrick's Cathedral Armagh on 21st April 2013, Archbishop Eamon Martin paid tribute to the people and priests of his native diocese of Derry. He said: 'It has been a privilege to work alongside you and serve you; I shall miss you and you will always be in my thoughts and prayers- please keep me in yours'.
