This prayerful remembrance is for all who have died in our diocese in the last twelve months, since the start of the pandemic.

Night Vigil following the Stations of the Cross

The remembrance will be built round the Stations of the Cross. The names of the deceased from each parish since last March will be read out. As the names are read out, a rose plant will be brought forward to the sanctuary in the name of each parish. These roses will, at a later stage, be planted in a planned Garden of Remembrance at the Cathedral.

The Vigil will start at 9:00pm and continue throughout the night. It will conclude with Mass on Saturday morning at 4:30am.

You can follow the Vigil broadcast live online here at: derrydiocese.org
