On Monday 23rd November, Tuesday 24th November, and Wednesday 25th November 2020, St Mary's Church, Creggan will be lit up red to highlight Red Wednesday. On Red Wednesday, we recognise all those who are being persecuted for their Christian faith throughout the world. Christ's love witnessed in this way is theultimate triumph of love over hate, good over evil.

During these days we will pray, through the intercession of the Christian martyrs, firstly for those outwardly persecuted for their faith, and secondly forourselves that through their intercession for us will enable us to be freed fromour own interior persecutions.
