Online Lourdes Pilgrimage

Bishop McKeown and the Pastoral Team welcome you and will accompany you in prayer and reflection on this online pilgrimage. 

Our Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes was scheduled to take place from 2nd – 7th July. Many of our parishioners from across the diocese would have been due to travel.

To honour this occasion, Bishop McKeown is hosting a Virtual Lourdes Pilgrimage for the six days, from Thursday, 2nd – Tuesday, 7th July. A brief outline of the pilgrimage themes is:
Thursday, 2nd: Theme - Pilgrimage
Friday, 3rd: Theme - Sickness
Saturday, 4th: Theme - Penance
Sunday, 5th: Theme - Children and Baptism
Monday, 6th: Theme - Young People
Tuesday, 7th: Theme - Mission 

A number of parishes are hosting events to mark the occasion. The full programe is outlined below.

St Eugene's Cathedral, Derry Online Programme

Thursday, 2nd July
Pilgrimage theme of the day: Pilgrimage
12:00pm: Angelus and Rosary
7:30pm: Evening Mass and Rosary

Friday, 3rd July – St Thomas, Apostle
Pilgrimage theme of the day: Sickness
12:00pm: Angelus and Rosary
7:30pm: Evening Mass and Rosary

Saturday, 4th July
Pilgrimage theme of the day: Penance
10:00am: - Morning mass (Memorial BVM)

Sunday, 5th July
Pilgrimage theme of the day: Children and Baptism (Cf Gospel)
12:30pm: Mass

Monday, 6th July – St Maria Goretti
Pilgrimage theme of the day: Young people
12:00pm: Angelus and Rosary
7:30pm: Evening Mass and Rosary

12:00pm: Angelus and Rosary
7:30pm: Evening Mass and Rosary
